I understand the desire to do everything in Emacs, but you know.I’m just not sure that’s worth it. I don’t blame folks for sticking with it, but I just can’t anymore. Calendar invites were always something of pain, I’d occasionally cause confusion in long email threads where I essentially broke the html somewhere since I’d send a plain text response (never could fix this completely), and god forbid mbsync decided to give me a hard time one day. I understand why people have an issue with it, but that fight was lost long ago. I loved the typing experience (obviously) and damn could I clear my inbox quickly.īut in the end.there’s just too much html out there. It helped me focus a bit more on my emails - I read them more carefully, since plain text tends to do that for me. It rocked when it came to searching through my emails, creating TODO items in org, and simplifying my life a bit.

My job is full of nerds and pretty flexible, so aside from a few jokes nobody really cared about my using it. I do not know any other better tool though, personal mail automation seems to be unimplemented by ANY tool or service. It have demands tons of tweaks at start, for few months, and even now it sometimes demand action and that's definitively not good.
